Met Andy at 6:30 went up to Timble in search of Redpoll .

Got 3 nets up by 7:30 and 20 minutes later had 15 redpoll.

Kex Gill Friday/Saturday

Two early morning starts up at Kex Gill again. Yesterday we had good numbers of Meadow Pipits a few Chiffchaff, Goldfinch, Blackbird and Tits.

Today saw a small group of Goldcrest moving through,

Meadow Pipits, not as many as yesterday, probably down to the wind today.

A few Goldfinch ,Chaffinch, Robin and Blackbird and just as we were going to pack up...

A Male Sparrow Hawk!!!! Fantastic .

Kex Gill

Met Andy at 6:30, after a quick bacon sarny of up to Kex Gill. By 7:30 we had 3 nets up and a Blackbird straight away. All together over 30 birds processed mainly Meadow Pipits. We also got 2 Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler , Blackcap and Goldfinch as well as a few Gt Tits . A good mornings work. Also 3 wheatear on banking and a stonechat.

Kex Gill

Met Andy at 6.00am, set 3 Nets up at Kex Gill. The First Bird processed was a Redstart and a good start at that. Then came the Meadow Pipits over 2o processed in all, other birds were Blackbird, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Gt Tit and last a smasher of a Goldcrest. As we were doing a net round Andy noticed an Arctic Skua right over head going East. Left my Camera back at the ringing station so missed the shot. On the way back to Otley we noticed a Marsh Harrier flying low over the Moors. All in All a cracking morning.

Otley Gravel Pits

Started at 7:30, Placed four Nets up , Very Quite all morning. Birds prossed were, Treecreeper, Robin, Chaffinch and Gt Tit. Also placed traps for Water Rail and Moorhen no Luck as yet.
